Congress Party leader Rashid Alvi today questioned the central government's reported move to provide Z-plus security cover to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah.
Alvi told ANI, "The BJP is in power so they can provide security to anyone they want but why has Amit Shah been given Z-plus security? The government must clarify on this."
Reports have stated that Amit Shah, who is considered close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would soon get Z-plus security cover from the central government. The Z-plus security cover is generally provided to VVIPs based on perceived threats to their security.
