England captain Alastair Cook has praised his bowlers Stuart Broad and James Anderson, saying that the duo's combined strikeforce is a major help to his assault on world domination.
Former England skipper Nasser Hussain introduced Anderson to Test cricket while English icon Michael Vaughan put him and Broad together to open the bowling attack five years ago in New Zealand, the Mirror reports.
According to the report, however, it is Cook, who will enjoy the rewards of the fruits sown by Hussain and Vaughan for the nest few years at their peak after the duo dominated their first Test win against the black Caps.
Praising Broad and Anderson, Cook said that their combined bowling attack during the Kiwi Test five years ago was the best he had ever seen in an opening spell, adding that it is a good situation to be in with the duo, who are the gems of his fast bowling department.
According to Cook, Broad and Anderson have played a number of games and so know how to win games and get players out on certain wickets, adding that he is all the more lucky with their skill and experience at the top bowling order following Anderson's 300-wicket record.
