England captain Alastair Cook has admitted that he is desperate to win the upcoming seven-match series against Sri Lanka as he seeks to settle scores for the team's home loss against Sri Lanka earlier this year.

Cook stated that the upcoming ODI series would demonstrate the team's abilities and would give them a nice preparation ahead of next year's World Cup, Sport24 reported. The series would give an ideal platform to take a bit of revenge against the home team, he added.

Following the Sri Lanka tour, England will travel to Sydney for a triangular one-day series with Australia and India.
