An award winning police officer was dismissed, after he met a married woman, while he was on patrol, and took her to a flat for a 40-minute sex romp.
However, he was later reinstated by an appeals tribunal, which concluded that it was the sort of delay that would occur if a police officer goes to the toilet or to a cafe to buy a cup of tea, the Daily Express reported.
The tribunal ruled that Pc Shaun Jenkins, 36, who worked at Gwent Police, could still reach his gun, as it was in the holder attached to the belt of his trousers hanging around his ankles.
A report found that the act had not posed a risk to public safety as Jenkins could have been back on duty 'within a minute or two.
