Gia Coppola has admitted that James Franco got her interested in her grandfather Francis Ford Coppola's iconic film 'The Godfather'.
The 27-year-old director said it was not until last year when she felt the need to watch the series, the Independent reported.
She said that Franco, who was the actor of her first film 'Palo Alto', sat her down and they watched I and II back-to-back, and she was blown away by it.
Gia, niece of Sofia Coppola is a rising filmmaker herself, but says that she got interested in movies very recently.
