Simon Cowell is reportedly under pressure to quit smoking as it is harmful for the unborn baby's health.

According to sources, concerns were raised after the pair was spotted strolling along the harbor, where Lauren, who has quit smoking, was seen carrying a packet of Kool cigarettes as the X-Factor judge held her hand, in St Tropez in the South of France.

Health experts warned the 53-year old music mogul that smoking around Lauren, would put the unborn baby's health at risk as 'second hand smoke' increases the risk of their baby having asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, meningitis and ear infections, the Mirror reported.

The Syco boss, who earlier smoked almost 40 cigarettes in a day, and recently joked that he liked smoking more than sex, has previously tried hypnotherapy and electronic fags to try kicking the habit.
