The Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Centre on Sunday asked all its lawmakers to support the impeachment motion filed in the Legislature-Parliament against Lok Man Singh Karki, the suspended chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of the Authority (CIAA).

CPN-MC chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal during the Parliamentary Party meeting directed its lawmakers towards this end, reports the Himalayan Times.

CPN-MC Leader Agni Sapkota informed that Dahal had issued the directive to all its lawmakers to come together in favour of the impeachment motion and argued that it was filed legally.

Before making this move, Dahal held consultations with the leaders of various political parties including Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on the matter.

Earlier on Saturday, Dahal was authorized by his party to take appropriate action against the chief of constitutional anti-graft body.
