Australian batsman Phillip Hughes, who was struck on the head by a bouncer delivery, still remains in a critical condition and will be undergoing brain scans today.
Hughes has been admitted in the St Vincent Hospital, where he was kept in an induced coma before undergoing surgery. Team doctor Peter Brukner said that a further update will be provided when the results of the scans are known, the BBC reported.
Hughes was knocked out by a bouncer and stretched from the ground during South Australia's Sheffield Shield clash with NSW.
Meanwhile, Cricket Australia confirmed that the current round of Sheffield Shield matches has been called off.
CA's executive general manager of team performance Pat Howard said that it is just not the day to be playing cricket given how players across the country are feeling now.
