Over 600 students from Assam, Manipur, Arunachal, Mizoram and Nagaland participated in the three-day-long event, which was organized by Peace Channel and People's Forum for Peace, Dimapur.

As a part of the event, the participants took out a rally, raising slogans on the importance of peace building.

"The main objective of this festival is to bring a feeling of oneness and togetherness from different culture background because in northeast we have different culture and tribes. So through this we are creating awareness about other culture, peace and harmony," said L ROBERT, Project Director, Peace Channel Dimapur

The main objective of the event was to create cultural awareness, prevent future conflicts and build capacity for strengthening peace among youth. The event gave a chance to students from the region to engage in discussions on peace and harmony within the community.

Dressed in colorful attires, the students also put up several song and dance performances, leaving the audience mesmerized.

A fashion show was also held in which several youngsters walked the ramp in traditional attires.

"This kind of festival is a kind of festival to promote peace and unity so all the students and youth should encourage to come so that we can bring peace and harmony in the society," said Ikali Ayemi, a student.

"This festival has educated me about peace and love. So, whatever I have learnt from this festival I can now share to my friends and I will teach them about peace," added Livanum, another student.
