Dame Helen Mirren fulfilled the wish of a fatally ill young boy, who wanted to meet Queen Elizabeth, by dressing up like the British monarch.

Visiting the Queen at Buckingham Palace topped Oliver Burton's list of dream activities, but his family was told a meeting would not be possible, the Sun reported.

After Mirren came to know that the 10-year-old cancer patient may have just weeks to live and was unable to meet the real Queen at Buckingham Palace, she invited him to see her London play 'The Audience'.

The 67-year-old actress then met the boy backstage while being in character at the 'Gielgud Theatre'.
