Aamir Khan, who will be portraying wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in upcoming film 'Dangal,' found learning Haryanvi for the movie very tough.

"I found Haryanvi very difficult also because I was coming out of Bhojpuri. The film I did before this was 'PK' in which I was speaking Bhojpuri. It took me a few months to navigate. I would constantly use Bhojpuri words suddenly in between. It took me a while to adapt to it. It took about four months for me to actually learn all my lines in Haryanvi," he told media in a group interview in the national media.

Further speaking about the usage of the language in the Nitesh Tiwari directed movie, the 51-year-old actor said that they have not gone too strict on Haryanvi.

"What we have done which you all should know is we have not gone hundred percent strict on Haryanvi, because if you would go hundred percent strict on the Haryanvi then people in the rest of the country will not understand what you are saying. What we have done is we have diluted Haryanavi. But then we have been consistent. We have also kept the flavour of Haryanvi along with an understandability for those who are not from Haryana," he explained.

The movie that also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, is set to release on December 23.
