Daniel Radcliffe has denied rumors that he will star as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in a new film, based on the band's early days.
The 24-year-old actor told Empire Magazine that the claims are funny and not true at all, the Mirror reported.
The 'Harry Potter' star said that the speculations started from one gossip site and then all other publications followed suit.
Radcliffe insisted that the rumors just kept on growing until everyone believed that he was actually playing Mercury, which he was never going to.
Radcliffe also asserted that everyone on the internet who believes that he is totally wrong for the part is actually correct.
