Sony Pictures is reportedly interested in roping Danny Boyle to direct Aaron Sorkin-penned biopic of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

The 57-year-old director is said to have approached Leonardo DiCaprio to star in the film, The Hollywood Reporter reported.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Fincher fell out of the project because of his aggressive demands for compensation and control.

The film is set to be produced by Scott Rudin and written by Sorkin (The Social Network), and is based on the best-selling biography of Jobs by Walter Isaacson.
