Laser weapons could soon be a reality with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) testing them on fighter jets.
According to Doug Graham of Lockheed Martin, these tests have validated the performance of the ABC Aero-adaptive Aero-optic Beam Control turret, the CNET reported.
These high-energy lasers are made to fire on enemy aircraft and missiles from a full 360 degrees-above, below, and behind the aircraft.
