The infamous dating site, AshleyMadison.com, which offers its users a chance to meet married individuals for affairs, has now been launched in Hong Kong after starting first in Japan.
Noel Biderman, the CEO of the company that claims to have 20 million members worldwide, said that the firm's Japan venture reeled in under half a million members within 3 months, making it their most successful launch ever, CNN reported.
Biderman said that Hong Kong is the 29th market of the infidelity website, which started 11 years ago in Canada.
The Hong Kong site, which is free for women but chargeable for men, has 80,000 members, which makes it the most successful launch rate per capita, showing a massive pent up demand, he said.
Biderman asserted that his company is trying to address a universal behavior and pattern, targeting people from all walks of life, adding that cheating is in our DNA.
Biderman added that infidelity trumps a lot of cultural values and it cannot be stopped by religious groups.
