Robert De Niro is set to take the lead role in the upcoming flick about the Italian car legend Enzo Ferrari.
The 71-year-old actor, who too is of Italian origin, will play the entrepreneur in the biopic, and said that he would be "honoured to present the life of Enzo Ferrari," the Daily Star reported.
He added that the project was in his priority list and the filming would soon begin in Italy.
The film would highlight Ferrari's life, when he started the iconic sports car company in the 40's, until his death in the late 80's.
Gianni Bozzachi will be producing and said that he had approached Clint Eastwood to take the director's chair, but he wants to read the script first.
