A Democrat presented a resolution on Wednesday (local time) to initiate an investigation to find out whether President Donald Trump has committed any impeachable offences.
US Representative for Michigan's 13, Rashida Tlaib introduced her resolution despite receiving a cool reception from fellow Democrats, reported The Hill.
"Doing nothing when we are seeing blatant disregard of the United States Constitution, to our ethical norms, is dangerous. No one, including the president of the United States, is above the law," she said.
This comes days after Attorney General William Barr on Sunday submitted his principal conclusions from Mueller's 22-month long investigation. He announced that Trump and his associate did not conspire with Russians, he has not completely exonerated the US President.
Tlaib made headlines, during her first day in office in January, she was heard saying "impeach the motherf***r" in a reference to Trump.
Only Democrats who supported Tlaib was another Democrats Al Green.
"There will be another vote on impeachment in the House of Representatives. I will do it," Green said in a House floor speech following Tlaib's.
Apart from Tlaib, Democrats Brad Sherman had so far filed two articles of impeachment against the President since January.
