Denis Lawson rejected 'Star Wars: Episode VII' role as he found it 'boring'

Denis Lawson has revealed that he turned down the chance to return in the upcoming Star Wars sequel as he thought it would bore him.

Speaking at a screening of his new movie, The Machine, the star who played Rebel ace Wedge Antilles in the original trilogy said that he was asked to star in the sequel but he declined as it would have bored him, the Verge reported.

Lawson had appeared as a hotshot pilot in all three original movies.
