Oliver Hirschbiegel, the director of the Naomi Watts starrer 'Diana', has claimed that the movie's bad reviews were "devastating" for him.

But when you make a film you don't think about the reactions, the German filmmaker pointed out to the BBC.

Hirschbiegel, who had also helmed a film based on Adolf Hitler, confessed that he has no regrets, despite the film's poor response in the UK.

He added that the critical response had put off audiences, but he still hoped people would "make up their own minds".
