Congress leader P.C. Chacko on Wednesday welcomed the BJP veterans' criticism of the party's top brass for the crushing defeat in Bihar, saying the dictatorial tendencies within the ruling party is something to be opposed.
"The dictatorial tendencies within the BJP is something to be opposed and that opposition has come on a right occasion from the senior-most leader of the party and it is a welcome statement," he said.
Chacko alleged that the BJP wants to downplay the statement and asked whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in a mood to welcome it.
"Modi-Amit Shah company have taken over the party and suppressed all the dissenting voice sidelined all the senior leaders. The discontent within the BJP was so much visible. So, we were expecting this someday," he said.
Chacko further said BJP veteran Lal Krishna Advani has paraphrased the decision of the parliamentary board in simple words.

"Everybody is responsible means nobody should be held responsible," he added.
Advani and three other BJP veterans have issued a strong statement on the party's defeat in Bihar, demanding a thorough review and criticising its stand on the debacle.
"The results of Bihar election show that no lesson has been learnt from fiasco in Delhi," said the statement signed by Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Shanta Kumar and Yashwant Sinha.
The BJP top brass, however, issued a counter statement in response, saying they have been 'fortunate' to be led by Advani for decades and welcomed any guidance and suggestion by the senior leaders.
