French President Francois Hollande has been denying a front page story of having an affair with actress Julie Gayet, but some believe that he planted the story himself.
Hollande has been living with journalist Valerie Trierweiler and according to a source, they have been hearing about this in the last year or so, the New York Post reported.
Recently French magazine Closer finally ran a seven-page photo expose of the affair and some believe that Hollande's team purposefully planted the story to embarrass and rid themselves of Trierweiler.
According to the buzz in Paris, Hollande has been over Trierweiler for some time but she wouldn't move out.
The source said that she likes being first lady, even if most of France doesn't like her or approve of her as first lady and after all, she's only his girlfriend, not his wife.
