Nearly one-in-10 babies and toddlers in England and Wales have been found to be Muslim, according to a new analysis of census figures.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures showed that around 317, 952 children (9.1 percent) aged under five were registered as being Muslim in the 2011 census, News24 reports.

According to the report, the figure is nearly double the 4.8 percent of the whole population who are Muslim.

This illustrated the growth of the minority community in England and Wales.
