Ricky Martin seems to have helped Ian Thorpe to help him come out in open about his sexuality after he tweeted that he was really proud of his gay Olympian friend.
The 'Livin' la Vida Loca' singer congratulated Thorpe and tweeted that he was a brave man and he was happy for the Olympian swimmer adding that millions appreciated what he did, the Mirror reported.
Martin said that he was extremely happy that he was talking about his happiness and that was where he would like to leave it.
In an emotional interview with veteran British broadcaster Michael Parkinson, the five-time Olympic gold medal winner revealed he was gay on Australia's Channel 10.
