Digital album of 39 songs donated for Typhoon Haiyan relief

A digital album of 39 songs sung by top singers has been donated to raise money for the Philippines Red Cross.

The album includes tracks from The Beatles, One Direction, U2, Lady Gaga, Bob Dylan, Beyonce and Adele among others, who have all agreed to donate all proceeds from the record to help those left homeless after Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines on November 8, the BBC reported.

The death toll from Typhoon Haiyan has now risen above 5,000.
