Digital Terminal organizes 'DT Conclave' to enable SMBs digitally

Digital Transformation has been the talk of the town for quite some time but majority of India's small businesses have yet to embrace the digital platforms.

This is hampering SMBs from competing at global scale. Keeping this thing in mind, Digital Terminal has organized DT Conclave 2016 in New Delhi on 10 November 2016 at Eros Hotel with an aim to enabling SMBs to understand the importance of digital technologies and help them to embrace them.

The conclave has been supported by Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India, STPI, MAIT and CMAI.

Indian SMBs are leveraging digital technologies across business processes, driving top line growth, maximizing output and deriving cost efficiencies; powering India into the future. Modern 'Digital SMB' is powered by solutions touching multiple business levers. However, it has to be accepted that a large amount of small businesses has yet to embark upon the digital bandwagon.

While large enterprises and big companies can afford to implement enterprise grade solutions such as ERP, CRM and BI, etc, SMBs do not have the resources and money to do the same. During the panel discussion, we seek the expert opinion on how can SMBs empower themselves and compete with their large counterparts.

Over 200 dignitaries were present at the Digital Terminal Conclave 2016 included CMDs, Chairmen, CEOs, COO and senior people from policy formulators, market researchers and industry analysts, handset vendors, operators, OTT players, telecom vendors, VAS providers, consultants/System Integrators/VAR's, trade associations and media amongst others gather to witness the winners of award night and celebrate their success.

There were demonstrations of how digital can kick-start the engine of many small businesses. The panel discussion has got leading industry speakers like Dinkar Adlakha, V P - Govt and PSU, Dell EMC, Dr. Niraj Prakash, Director in Applications Sales Consulting, Oracle India, Anil Gupta, VP - Platform Strategy, Datawind Inc, Amit Jha, Deputy Director, MAIT and Ajay Chhabra, Director and Chief Digital Officer, BGV Digital Pvt. Ltd

Rajesh Khurana, Business Consultant, Former Country Manager -South Asia, at Seagate Technology and well known Industry Leader marked is presence as the moderator at the event.

"There is a need to drive a Digital Transformation Movement in India. Small businesses are yet embrace digital platforms. While they provide a stand for wider employment and economic opportunity at the local level," said Publisher and Editor Digital Terminal, Rajeev Ranjan.

Delaying the digital journey is simply hampering their growth and barring them from competing at the global scale. In addition, the conclave has brought about some of the SMBs which have successfully deployed digital technologies and taken their businesses to the next level. According to a study, Indian SMBs are leveraging digital technologies across business processes, driving top line growth, maximizing output and deriving cost efficiencies; powering India into the future. Modern 'Digital SMB' is powered by solutions touching multiple business levers such as customer acquisition, workforce enablement, operational excellence and risk management.

"Today there is a race among all kind of businesses to become digitally sound. Despite this, not all have the resources and capability to go digital. They do not know where to start from. In addition, there are a several questions many small and growing businesses are surrounded with when it comes to adopting digital. DT Conclave 2016 answered many such questions which proved helpful for SMBs and even smaller business. The conclave was graced from industry leaders who helped audiences understand the entire roadmap for their Digital Transformation journey,' said Executive Editor Digital Terminal, Jyoti Janda.
