Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe seem to have made quite an impression on each other when the former visited Tokyo in September. Their friendship, which started in Japan, has continued to flower in Brisbane.
Abe, who hosted a dinner for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the margins of the G-20 Summit here, told the Indian leader that he was happy to meet him once again. Prime Minister Modi on Friday returned the favour.
"Couldn't have asked for a better way to end the day- a dinner with my friend @AbeShinzo. Several issues were discussed during the meet," he tweeted, after meeting his Japanese counterpart.
After attending the G-20 Summit in Brisbane, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to travel to Sydney, where he will attend a community reception and address the Indian Diaspora.
The Prime Minister will then travel to Canberra and address the special joint sitting of the Australian Parliament on November 18. He is also to address a community event in Melbourne before travelling to Fiji.
