Director Anton Corbijn opened up about working with late Philip Seymour Hoffman on his last film as an actor 'A Most Wanted Man.'

Corbijn told the Huffington Post, that in the thriller, which is based on the novel by John le Carre, the Oscar-winning actor had worked his real-life drug troubles into the "disheveled" character he played.

He added that though it would be difficult to differentiate between the person he was in real life and what he portrayed on reel, when the star had met him to watch an early edit of the film in Berlin, he was a "full of life" and funny American guy.

Hoffman would also be seen in the final two installments of 'The Hunger Games', which are anticipated to release in 2015.
