American football hero OJ Simpson has been disciplined in prison for stealing cookies.
According to the Daily Star, the disgraced star, who now weighs more than 21 stone and has diabetes, confessed to taking the goodies from the canteen and lost a week's TV privileges as a punishment.
A prison visitor said that everyone had thought he had been smuggling a cell phone but all the inmates fell around laughing when they saw the guard pulling stolen cookies from his jumpsuit.
Simpson, 66, who is serving a minimum of nine years for attempted robbery and kidnapping, was caught with the contraband chocolate chip biscuits, at Lovelock Jail, Nevada, the report said.
