England boss Roy Hodgson has revealed that he was harsh with his players after their recent win over Montenegro to make sure they did not celebrate with only half the job done, before the match against Poland.
According to the Mirror, Hodgson has now warned his players against complacency before the next qualifier with Poland at Wembley with qualification for Brazil on the line.
He said that the one thing that anyone would want to guard against is complacency, adding that sometimes it is easier to be harsh when people have done well and harder to be harsh when they have not done well.
Hodgson will be forced into one change with Kyle Walker suspended, leaving Phil Jones and Chris Smalling vying for the slot, the report said.
