Disney star Zendaya Coleman is set to play late R and B singer Aaliyah in an upcoming Tv biopic, it has been revealed.
The 17 year old actress is gearing up to star in 'Aaliyah: Princess of R and B' for America's Lifetime network, Contactmusic reported.
The project is being adapted from author Christopher Farley's bestselling biography 'Aaliyah: More Than a Woman'.
Coleman is best known for her starring role in Disney's Tv series Shake It Up!, but she is also a former Dancing With the Stars runner-up.
Aaliyah died in a 2001 plane crash at the age of 22.
