Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav on Friday clarified that his divorce proceedings will continue.
"I will not reverse whatever decision I took. I have blessings of my father," Tej Pratap told ANI.
Five months after his marriage, the 29-year-old son of Lalu Prasad filed a divorce petition in a Patna court in November.
Tej's advocate, Yashwant Kumar Sharma, informed that he and his wife Aishwarya Rai could not get along with each other and, therefore decided to part ways.
However, some recent media reports suggested that Tej Pratap was mulling over rescinding his divorce petition. But the RJD leader denied the claims.
"There is no question to back divorce petition. Channels are flashing false news," Tej Pratap said assertively.
The eldest son of Bihar's two chief ministers is often in the news for rather unusual reasons.
He dressed up as Lord Shiva on one occasion, posted images on social media showing him preparing jalebis, rode a horse last Christmas, tumbled to the ground during a cycle race and even made an error while taking an oath of office in Nitish Kumar's cabinet in 2015.
