ATP World Tour Finals winner has aid that he wants to use the successful defense of his London title as a springboard for glory in 2014.
According to Metro.co.uk, World No.2 Djokovic wants to regain top spot in the rankings from Rafael Nadal, who he overwhelmed in a 6-3, 6-4 victory at the 02 Arena on Monday night to maintain an iron grip on his crown.
After winning the Australian Open for a third straight year in January, the 26-year-old Serbian reached the semi-finals of the French Open before battling to the finals at Wimbledon and the US Open, the report said.
Improving in those competitions is his main priority and he is full of confidence after finishing the official ATP season with 22 consecutive victories, the report added.
Djokovic said that next to the run he had in 2011, this was definitely the second best he has had, and added that the ATP finals win could serve as a great platform for the 2014 season.
