Djokovic thrashes Bolelli to reach China Open second round

World number one Novak Djokovic continued his rich vein of form as he claimed a comfortable straight-set win over Italian player Simone Bolelli to advance to the second round of the China Open on Tuesday.

The Serbian defending champion clinched a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Bolelli in a thrilling opening round match that lasted one hour and eleven minutes.

Meanwhile, third-seed Rafael Nadal struggled past his Chinese opponent Di Wu 6-4, 6-4 to reach the second round of the tournament.
