The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on Monday criticized Shihan Hussaini, who 'crucified' himself demanding former Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa's return as the Chief Minister.
DMK spokesman T.K.S. Elangovan termed the act of crucifixion by Hussaini as 'sycophancy' and called for his arrest.
"This is sycophancy, this fellow Shihan Hussaini always tries to somehow please Jayalalithaa so that he is benefitted. This cannot be tolerated in the country; this is highly foolish. No sane man will do this, it is highly insane. The police should have arrested him for such a show," Elangovan said.
Earlier in the day, Jayalalithaa's supporter crucified himself on a wooden cross and demanded her return as the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
