The AIADMK on Wednesday rubbished reports which said that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa was not well and accused the DMK of spreading false news about her health.
"She is alright. All the work is being done properly...DMK and others, they want to create something against our leader. Everybody on Facebook and Watsapp, all this DMK group is creating all false news. Is this the way to behave? No," AIADMK spokesperson C.R. Saraswathi told ANI.
"They never had guts to meet amma on a political ground. They know very well that people's mind today is to only support amma and not anybody else because amma is people's leader. Amma works for people. She does not having any big family, working for the sons or grandsons, granddaughters and all. She works for the people," she added.
A day after Jayalalithaa skipped an Iftar party citing 'sudden illness', DMK chief M. Karunanidhi reportedly said that the statement about her health condition could not be ignored.
