The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) today appealed for the conversion of waste into useful products.
"If we can convert millions of tonnes of waste in the country into useful tangible products by affordable technological means, there is a huge scope for development as rapid advances in technologies provide ample opportunities for bringing in innovations in waste management", said Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri and secretary of the Department of Defence R and D and Director General Dr Avinash Chander, while speaking on the occasion of launching Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan in DRDO.
The event was organized at Advanced Systems Laboratory in DRDO's missile complex in Hyderabad.
