After launching the ambitious 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' across the country today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Gandhi Smriti here today to pay his tributes to the Father of the Nation on his birth anniversary.
Prime Minister Modi also met former prime minister Manmohan Singh at Gandhi Smriti.
Earlier today, at the launch of the 'Swachh Bharat' mission at India Gate in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that even after gaining freedom under the leadership of Gandhi, his dream of clean India is unfulfilled.
Talking of the 'Swachh Bharat' Campaign logo, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "It is not just a logo, through it Gandhi is watching us, asking as when we will clean India."
Vice President Hamid Ansari also paid his tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Smriti in New Delhi.
