A Dubai spa is planning to break the Guinness World Record by polishing 50,000 nails.
100 technicians of the Beauty Connection Spa in association with KOKO Nails will manicure 50,000 nails at the Dubai Mall between 2 and 10 pm.
The spa's founder Kawthar Makahla Al Shamsi revealed that many of the spa's 200-strong staff are women from disadvantaged backgrounds, including widows, orphans and single mums, Gulf News reported.
The staff, who vouch for the large-heartedness of their 'madam', say many of them have come on board without any skills, but were trained to undertake specialist jobs.
The previous record is held by Australia's Sally Hansen of 2,572 hands.
