Kate Middleton, who was planning to stay with her parents in Bucklebury after giving birth, has been advised to change her decision due to security concerns.
Former royal bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, has issued the warning, the Daily Star reported.
He cautioned that Middleton's decision could end up as a disaster.
Wharfe, who guarded Princess Diana, asserted that the cost implications of this operation for just a week would run into hundreds of thousands of pounds.
He said that the local residents would soon become loathsome of paparazzi trampling their gardens at night and a loss of privacy.
Wharfe has given an alternative and suggested that the Duchess of Cambridge could stay at Balmoral, as it won't cost the taxpayer a penny.
