The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today questioned Minister of State for External Affairs General (Retd.) V.K. Singh's political attache S.P. Singh in connection with Rs 30 crore loan default case.
Singh took a loan from Syndicate and Punjab National Banks.
The Enforcement Directorate is likely to freeze the 30 crore loan amount or property of S.P. Singh.
Earlier, General (Retd.) had appointed Shambhu Prasad Singh, a controversial former defence contractor, who was arrested by the Delhi Police Economic Offences Wing last year, as his political attache.
While Shambhu has been facing trial in a disproportionate assets case registered by the CBI in 2002, the agency also filed a preliminary enquiry (PE) against him.
