Universities and educational institutions from across the country are luring students from the Northeast at an education fair in Guwahati.
The two-day event was helpful for students to take admission in a university of their choice.
Representatives of foreign universities and institutions were present at the TRP Indoor stadium in Guwahati to enroll the students.
The fair was organized by the Lynchpin group which provide a good platform for students to keep themselves updated about the latest courses and careers.
AGM of the Kaziranga University in Jorhat, Abhijeet, expressed happiness to be the part of the fair.
"We are very happy to be part of this education fair in Northeast. I think it is 11th edition and I congratulate the organizer they should organize frequently like this because it is a good platform for all
the students to choose the right career," he said.
The students got a chance to interact with the representatives of institutions from all over India and got to know about the prospects of different courses like MBBS, MBA, Engineering, MCA, B.Tech and
Marketing and Hospitality management.
Representative of the Down Town University in Guwahati, Karabi Saikia, said that the response from the students was good.
"In this fair basically students are looking for B. Tech and some medical courses and response is very good," said Saikia. Edna Noronha from Institute of International Hospitality Education in
Goa said that Northeast had a good potential market for hospitality management.
"We did a market survey and we found that northeast has a good potential market for hospitality management. We got to understand from the survey that lots of students from Northeast are interested in
pursuing hospitality as a career course," Noronha said.
Youth is a major force whose energy needs to be channelized properly for the development of the region. Opportunities like these provide a platform to the students to assess their interest and opt for a right career.
