The affidavit in the nomination paper submitted by Nara Lokesh for the Lok Sabha elections mentions his father Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP chief, as his husband.
In Naidu's affidavit also similar mistake has surfaced. Naidu in the affidavit has mentioned his father Kharjura Naidu Nara's name in the husband's column.
Naidu is going to contest from the Kuppam seat in Chittoor district for the seventh consecutive time. He had contested from the seat for the first time in 1989. Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh on Friday filed nomination to contest from Mangalagiri constituency in Amaravati in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Naidu's TDP supported the BJP-led government after 2014 Lok Sabha elections but withdrew the support in March last year over the issue of special status to Andhra Pradesh.
In 2014 assembly elections, Naidu-led TDP won 103 seats and YSR Congress Party bagged 67 seats. BJP had won only four seats and the Congress could not get even a single seat.
The elections to the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly are scheduled to be held on April 11 simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls. The counting of votes for both will take place on May 23.
