Elisabeth Moss is set to star alongside Robert Redford and Cate Blanchett in the upcoming film 'Truth', which would highlight the infamous Rathergate scandal.
The project, which is based on Mary Mapes' 2005 memoir Truth And Duty: The Press, The President, And The Privilege Of Power, would see James Vanderbilt make his directorial debut, Deadline.com reported.
In 2004, Dan Rather had reported on '60 Minutes II' that George W. Bush had gotten preferential treatment that put him in the Texas Air National Guard to avoid the Vietnam War draft. The following Killian documents controversy during Bush's re-election campaign brought down Rather's reputation and had gotten Mapes, his key producer, fired.
While Redford would play Rather, Blanchett would portray Mapes and Moss would take up the role of CBS veteran Lucy Scott.
