Emirati engineer Fatima Jasem Al Zaabi has revamped Microsoft Power Point to give it additional features that let users to create architectural designs for home.
In recognition of her achievement, Fatima has been invited to dinner at the White House by U.S President Barack Obama.
The 31 year old high school diploma holder, who lives in Abu Dhabi with her family, was approached by Google and Microsoft, offering to buy her product, Gulf News reported.
A college drop-out, Fatima was introduced to the software application Auto Cad, used for drawing villas in 2D or 3D designs while pursuing an engineering course at Al Khawarizmi International College in Al Ain.
However, she found the software difficult to use and made it her mission to find an alternative that would allow everyone to make architectural designs without enrolling in a professional course.
It was after six years that the Emirati came up with her innovation.
