Epigamia announces the launch of Epigamia Artisanal Curd, India's first lactose-free curd. This newest addition to the brand's product portfolio is aimed at improving gut-health and finally providing a cup of curd with "no consequences" to the Indian population that is lactose intolerant that is cannot digest dairy products.

Epigamia's ambition is to give curd a contemporary, healthy makeover that will improve immunity and ease digestion. Aside from being lactose-free, Artisanal Curd has more probiotics than any other curd, and contains two strains of probiotics - Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Bifidobacteria that reduce abdominal discomfort.

"In a country that loves its milk, lactose intolerance is a highly underrated problem. What most consumers do not realize is that some of the digestion issues they face are caused because their bodies are simply unable to break down the lactose present in milk. At Epigamia, we set out to build a product that would solve this issue. Hence the lactose-free, probiotic-enriched curd was created to cater to anyone seeking to foster a healthy digestive system," said Rohan Mirchandani, Co-founder and CEO, Drums Food International.

"Just like me, a huge percentage of the Indian population is lactose intolerant but most of them do not even know it. When we tested all the dietitians at the QUA NUTRITION clinics, we found a whopping 95 percent of us are lactose intolerant. It's time we shed light to this prevalent condition and the consequent change in diet required. Epigamia Artisanal Curd has started a paradigm shift for dairy brands by providing a lactose-free alternative to consumers. It has the goodness of life, taste of home and surety of safety for the intolerant," said Award winning celebrity nutrition coach, Ryan Fernando.

Epigamia Artisanal Curd is currently available in stores across Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, and is priced at Rs. 70.
