Essel Highways Limited, the road infrastructure arm of Dr. Subhash Chandra led Essel Group has been rewarded for its unstinting efforts in providing world class road infrastructure with the globally acclaimed Integrated Management Systems (IMS) certificate.

These accreditations make Essel Highways the first road infrastructure company in India to achieve the IMS certifications in four critical parameters namely quality, environment, health and road traffic safety management.

The IMS is a combination of four international standards, ISO 9001 quality management system, ISO 14001 environmental management system, OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety management system and ISO 39001:2012 road traffic safety management system.

The certificate has been issued by British Standard Institutions (BSI) India for the provision of Toll Operations and Maintenance of Roads as per Concessionaire Agreement Requirements after a systematic audit of the company's 'Toll O&M' business.

The certification substantiates execution excellence with quality, road traffic, safety management, heath and environmental care for the benefit of business and key stakeholders.

The much-vaunted IMS certification is a quality system that improves the process and service quality in a company and thus leads to increased efficiency within the system.

"These certifications are a testimonial of Essel Highways commitment to international standards of operations. We are dedicated to continuously improving the quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management practices in order to provide world class standards at our project sites. Going forward, we are hopeful in not only consolidating our position but looking at state-of-the-art innovations which will not only match but surpass global benchmarks in road infrastructure," said CEO Essel Infraprojects Limited, Ashok Agarwal.
