German spy agency has revealed that PKK Partiya Karker Kurdistan (Kurdistan Worker's Party) terror group has been collecting €25 million (over $28 million) annually in donations from across Europe.

The group, which has been designated as a terrorist organisation by the European Union (EU) and the United States, has collected more than €13 million (over $14 million) in Germany alone, between September 2015 and early 2016, according to the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, or BfV, Anadolu News agency reported.

"The PKK managed to double its revenues from donations in Germany within the last 10 years," the report

Turkey has been criticizing Germany for not taking serious measures against the PKK terror group, which is carrying out propaganda, recruitment and fundraising activities from the country and thus becoming the source of major friction between Turkey and Germany.

The annual report has hightlighted that terrorist group has increased its recruitment activities by sending dozens in northern Iraq and currently having nearly 14,000 followers in Germany.

It also warned that PKK followers may again employ violence in Germany.

"The PKK continues to be able and prepared, if necessary, to use violence in Germany at least in isolated cases or to tolerate acts of violence carried out by its young adherents."

The group has resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015 and since then has been responsible for the deaths of approximately 1,200 security personnel and civilians, including women and children.According to the military, almost 10,000 terrorists have been neutralized in air and land operations since then.

Already the tensions between Berlin and Ankara are at an all time high due to several reasons that includes turning down a request by German lawmakers to visit troops stationed in Incirlik airbase in Turkey.
