Former Sony Pictures chief Amy Pascal has publicly spoken about the Sony hacks, pay inequality, and Hollywood stars for the first time since she quit the company.
According to the Verge, defending her position on accusations of pay inequality, Pascal said that she ran a business and if people were willing to work for lesser money, she paid them accordingly.
She said that it is impossible to satisfy Hollywood stars, adding that they are "bottomless pits of need".
Commenting on the Sony hacks, Pascal said that having her private discussions leaked to the public was "strangely freeing."
Referring to some not-so flattering remarks that were made in her emails about Angelina Jolie, she said, "everybody understood because we all live in this weird thing called Hollywood." She added, "If we all actually were nice, it wouldn't work."
Pascal announced this week that she'll join the production team for Sony and Marvel's upcoming Spider-Man series, and is also expected to work on a version of Cleopatra and a live-action Barbie movie, the report added.
