Former world champion Damon Hill has warned Mercedes ace Lewis Hamilton that his biggest threat to second triumph in Monaco is his teammate Nico Rosberg, instead of big guns Sebastian Vettel or Fernando Alonso.

The German son of Finland's 1982 champion Keke Rosberg has been a revelation this year, out-qualifying Hamilton for the last two races and establishing his credentials by keeping the 2008 champion at arms' length throughout Friday practice, the Mirror reports.

Although Hill said that Hamilton has a good chance of winning at the Monaco Grand Prix this year with his abundant instinctive ability and the less complicatedness of the race, the only obstacle in his way, barring performances from Mercedes or Red Bull, is Rosberg.

According to Hill, Rosberg has done a great job till now and has set a new benchmark by quietly going about his business and not making any big fusses, adding that Hamilton would need to put on his thinking cap and keep an eye on his teammate's actions if he wants to beat him in Monaco.

Stating that Rosberg will not be a pushover, Hill further praised the German driver and said that he has a different personality and still loves and respects his father.

Meanwhile, Hamilton has also admitted that that he has to work hard to match Rosberg in speed.

Although Rosberg, nicknamed Britney by the other drivers for his blonde locks, started F1 younger than Hamilton at 20 and set the fastest race lap on his debut in Bahrain in 2006, it has been a slow burn ever since, the report added.
