The race should see pole-sitter Sebastian Vettel from Red Bull crowned world champion for a fourth successive year, as he needs only finish fifth to claim the title with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso only eighth on the grid.
The length of the circuit of the Indian Grand Prix is 5.125 kilometres (km) and the race distance is 307.249 km, with the number of laps being 60.
The teams participating in the event are Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, Force India, Sauber, Lotus, McLaren, Toro Rosso, Williams, Marussia and Caterham.
